The Montreal Olympic Stadium was constructed for the 1976 Olympic Games. Although it was used for the games, a strike delayed construction and the stadium was not officially completed until 1987. It was originally designed with retractable roof, which was replaced entirely in 1998, due to mechanical failures.

St. James United Church on St. Catherines Street West was built in 1889 and was the fourth home of the St. James congregation. The outside architecture is reminiscent of the French Gothic cathedral and the interior contains a small chapel, stained glass windows and an organ, in addition to the main part of the church, where a majority of events take place.
